A LITTLE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL: Founded by filmmaker Cressandra Thibodeaux, the Bechdel Film Festival is dedicated to supporting and promoting female filmmakers. The festival will take place, February 15-22, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Our opening night will be at the Museum of Fine Arts and the rest of the festival will be held at 14 Pews.  In addition to short films, we'll have feature documentaries, panel discussions, script readings, Karaoke, Cocktail Mixers and much more.
 
All films must be directed by a female.  All scripts must be written by a female.
 
In addition to showcasing the best of independent cinema in short and feature films from around the globe, the 1st annual Bechdel Film Festival is specifically seeking films to feature in the following special program categories:
 
•    Spotlight on Web Series
•    Spotlight on Texas Filmmakers
•    Spotlight on Northwest Filmmakers
•    Spotlight on Feature-length screenplays
